Remove surface dirt with a soft brush or microfiber cloth. For leather shoes, use a damp cloth with a small amount of mild soap to gently wipe away grime without stripping the natural oils. For fabric shoes, a mixture of water and a gentle detergent works wonders, but avoid saturating them to prevent damage. After cleaning, conditioning is a critical step for leather.
